NaakMusiQ was the name Anga had come up with, the name he hoped millions of people around his country, continent & the world would chant one day... In 2011 Baainar record released the first song NaakMusiQ was ever part of titled ‘Move’ featured and produced by the ever so gifted ‘Eltonnick’. This song got the attention of the music industry and quickly grew to become one SA’s biggest songs that year while Anga was making waves in the acting world which had gotten him millions of fans around the world… In 2014 NaakMusiQ would release his first single under a new label AFROTAINMENT owned by Dj Tira. This would produce one of the biggest songs of his career, before streaming even became a thing. This is the song that got him his first sync deal as well as music award. Nominated for Best music video at the 2015 MTV Africa music awards. Also nominated for Song of the year, best collaboration and the best music video at the Metro fm awards in the same year. 2015 he released ‘Not Guilty’ ft Professor and ‘Amabenjamin’ ft Mampintsha (Big Nuz) 2016 NaakMusiQ got the attention of Black Coffee who requested a collaboration with Naak which would end up in his successful ‘Pieces of me’ album. 2017 - 2020 saw him collaborate with many more accomplished artists such as Euphonik (now known as ‘Themba’), Black Motion, FKA Mash, Distruction Boyz, Mobi Dixon TNS to name a few. After working with everyone that he’d ever dreamed of working with Anga took time off to try something new, something that he’d always wanted to do which was Afrohouse/ Afrotech. This is where he’d always believed he belonged and knew that this was what would take his career to the next level. In this year he quickly fit right in and managed to bag a collaboration with the kings of Afrohouse : Kususa & Argento Dust in a collabo titled ‘Abantu Bakho’, Tomer & Ricardo- Noba released under Deeproot Tribe. These would be his first 2 fears in his new journey. An impressive unreleased catalogue which has gotten the nod from industry colleagues such as Black Coffee & Themba. In this new Phase of his career he rebrands as NAAK. Who is a breathe of fresh air in the Afrohouse scene and offers unique, clean vocals accompanied by beautiful music to complete the work of art. There is no doubt that his presence will be felt as SOON the whole world will know the name NAAK.
